Cub Scientist

At Jack's school each kid is assigned a day where they get to present a small science experiment to the class.
Jack got his assignment and we helped him practice a few nights before his big day. He had little interest and his attention span during our recitals was poor. I was just hoping he could get thru the exercise without it being a disaster.
Caroline and I attended his class the day that he was to do his presentation. I was there to help him if he needed it.
I was shocked and so impressed. This 6 year old little boy had wonderful presentation skills (much better than many professionals I use to work with). He knew his material, he took control of the class, he spoke clearly, and he got the other kids engaged in his project. I was a very PROUD momma. I can see that he may have a job as a politician or a preacher one day.

Dinner with the Landry's

Spring Break -- Dallas

We took the kids to Dallas for the weekend. It was a great time. When we arrived it was hot and sunny and we got to swim and lounge by the Four Seasons pool (not a bad life). That night we dined with the knights at Medieval Times. The kids dressed up and had a great time. It turned cold the next day as we headed to Six Flags ... but the cold weather made for a fun time because we didn't wait in line for the rides. We had dinner with family and Jojo and Big Momma came to join us as well. Before leaving town the kids even got to ice skate for the first time.
