Starting Summer

We started our summer adventures this weekend.
Caroline had her first dip in the pool, Jack is swimming like a fish already, we took a trip to the Tyler zoo (not much fun b/c Jack is absolutely terrified of BIRDS)....and we spent time on the farm riding in JoJo's truck and bought some ears of corn at the store.

Adventures in Bath Time

Las Vegas

Our trip to Las Vegas was not your typical one. We stayed off the strip at Red Rock Casino and took advantage of hiking in Red Rock Canyon both mornings. We stayed away from the shows, bars and casinos and instead spent time at the pool, spa, hiking and eating sushi every night. It was quite peaceful ...except for the last night we were there when we could hear music from the club downstairs into the wee hours of the am.

Teething

Caroline is usually the happiest baby ... as seen in this pic. But this weekend she's having a tough time ... she's struggling with a fever and some new teeth coming in ... its been a struggle for Chris and I, too.

Flooded Street

Its been a rainy May here. The other weekend it rained so hard that our street flooded. Here is a shot of our neighbor's driveway ... the water was waist deep and up to the mailboxes.

Spanglish

Jack's favorite part of his school day is Spanish Time.
However ... I think that he's learned how to "fake it to make it". Now he follows me around the house to tell me how to say things in Spanish. The kid knows more Spanish than I do ... but he's also learned to add a "uez", "ete", "otto" to the word to try to impress me that he really knows Spanish. Check it out ... its pretty funny.
